Serrated Lock Washer
Serrated disc springs are a form of disc spring serrated on both sides of a trapezoid cross section. The serrated disc springs can be used with practically any screw or bolt because their diameters are matched to screw dimensions. These washers are produced in Spring steel and stainless steel. Serrated lock washers offer the following advantages:
• Suitable for captive fitting on a wide range of bolts
• Sliding surfaces allow tightening with no surface damage
• Positive locking serrations increase resistance to vibration
• Concentric application of force eliminates bending bolts
• Locking effect at the outside diameter ensures the greatest resistance to loosening
• With proper transitional radius between bolt shaft and head, there is no splitting when tightening
The customer can choose Thickness from two series depending on his application. For both series, OD and ID are the same.
1. Light Duty Series: suitable for normal duty
2. Heavy Duty Series: thicker, achieves higher pretension loads
